Pre-Cut Wall Moulding Kits: Measured, Cut, Ready to Paint
Pre-cut wall moulding is trim that arrives already cut to length and mitered for a specific layout. The hard part of panelling a wall is not fixing the trim, it is measuring and cutting dozens of matching miters; pre-cut kits remove that step.
What pre-cut saves you
A two-row picture frame wall on a 12 ft wall has 8 frames and 32 mitered pieces. Cutting them by hand means 64 angled cuts that all have to match within a millimetre. A pre-cut kit ships those pieces numbered against a drawing, so assembly is just matching numbers.
Standard sizes or made to measure?
Standard kits fit common walls such as 8, 10 and 12 ft. If your wall is an odd size, a made-to-measure kit uses your exact width and height so the margins come out even.
Example layouts with real measurements
8 ft wall, 8 ft ceiling
On an 8 ft wall use 3 upper and 3 lower frames, each 2' 2.5" (67 cm) wide, spaced 4" (10 cm) apart, with a chair rail at 3' (91 cm). Upper frames are 4' 0.5" (123 cm) tall and lower frames 2' (61 cm) tall. Total about 78 linear ft with waste.
11 ft wall, 8 ft ceiling
On an 11 ft wall use 4 upper and 4 lower frames, each 2' 4" (71 cm) wide, spaced 4" (10 cm) apart, with a chair rail at 3' (91 cm). Upper frames are 4' 0.5" (123 cm) tall and lower frames 2' (61 cm) tall. Total about 107 linear ft with waste.
Using metric? Every measurement on this page also shows centimetres, and our kits ship to the UK, Canada and the EU with cm-labelled pieces.
What comes in a pre-cut kit
Every piece is cut to length with 45 degree miters, numbered against a layout drawing, and factory primed. You add adhesive, caulk and paint. Most single-wall kits ship in one flat box.

Common questions
How to design moulding on walls?
Start from the wall width: 2 to 4 frames per row on most walls, a chair rail at one third of the height, and wider frames behind a bed, sofa or TV.
How far apart should wall moulding be?
Keep frames 3 to 4 inches apart and the same distance from corners, ceiling and baseboard. Even margins matter more than the exact frame size.
How can I make my own wall moulding?
Measure the wall, decide the frame count so each frame is 20 to 40 inches wide, cut 45 degree miters, glue and pin the frames, then caulk and paint. A pre-cut kit skips the measuring and cutting: pieces arrive mitered and numbered.
