Questions about this wall size
How many frames fit on a 12 ft wall?
4 frames per row works best on a 12 ft wall. Fewer frames make each one wider than 40", which looks stretched; more makes them narrower than 20" and busy.
How much molding do I need for a 12 ft wall?
About 112 linear ft including the chair rail and 10% waste for this two-row layout.
What if my ceiling is taller than 8 ft?
Keep the chair rail at the same height and stretch only the upper frames; the lower row and spacing stay identical.
