U Shaped Arch Wall Trim Molding Kit, Pre-Cut MDF Medium & Large. Shaped like a tall U, this Arched U Shaped Wall Kit frames headboards, consoles and media walls with a gentle curved top. Two sizes are offered, medium 27.6 x 53.1 inches and large 37.8 x 58.3 inches, in sets of one to three. All parts are Pre-Cut Paintable MDF for a smooth, built in finish.
This arched wall molding kit puts a single curve into a room built entirely out of straight lines, which is why it reads as architecture rather than decoration. The U-shaped arch is cut to its radius in the workshop, so you are not steam-bending trim on a ladder.
Paint the wall and the molding in one color and the U-shaped arch reads as a recessed niche. Paint the molding alone and it reads as a frame. Both work; the first is the look most customers go for.

How it goes up
- Mark the centre line and the spring point where the curve starts.
- Dry-fit the arch section against the legs before any adhesive goes on.
- Run construction adhesive along the back and press home, taping until cured.
- Fill the joints, caulk the edges, prime the cut MDF and paint.
Sizing it to your wall
Measure the wall width and the height from the baseboard to the ceiling, then decide where the top of the arch should sit. Behind a bed, keep a clear margin between the arch and the ceiling. In a hallway, two-thirds of the wall height is a comfortable proportion. Our free wall molding calculator works out even spacing when you are running more than one panel.

Where does an arched wall molding look best?
Arches work well behind a bed, around a mirror or console, in a reading nook or as a series of repeated arches along a hallway. Keep at least 15 cm (6 in) between the top of the arch and the ceiling for a balanced look.
