Buy one, two or three panels to fit the wall. The pieces are Pre-Cut Paintable MDF, so both curves line up as designed and need only filling, priming and paint.

This arched wall molding kit puts a single curve into a room built entirely out of straight lines, which is why it reads as architecture rather than decoration. The arch is cut to its radius in the workshop, so you are not steam-bending trim on a ladder.

Paint the wall and the molding in one color and the arch reads as a recessed niche. Paint the molding alone and it reads as a frame. Both work; the first is the look most customers go for.

How it goes up

1. Mark the centre line and the spring point where the curve starts.
2. Dry-fit the arch section against the legs before any adhesive goes on.
3. Run construction adhesive along the back and press home, taping until cured.
4. Fill the joints, caulk the edges, prime the cut MDF and paint.

Sizing it to your wall

Measure the wall width and the height from the baseboard to the ceiling, then decide where the top of the arch should sit. Behind a bed, keep a clear margin between the arch and the ceiling.
