Wall Moulding Kits in Canada: Delivery and Project Planning
Plan an online wall molding order for delivery to Canada with two separate records: a measured wall drawing and a complete receiving address. This guide connects a worked layout, component quantities and destination checks; it does not claim a local showroom or local installation team.
Worked order brief for Canada
Keep a metric master drawing and show the inch conversion beside it. A label in centimetres must not be entered as inches in the wall planner.
The following 13 ft by 9 ft wall is a hypothetical design example, not a measured home or customer project in Canada. Choose one working unit for the project and state it on every sketch. A 75 mm profile and a 3-inch profile need different spacing calculations.
Destination details to check before dispatch
| Field | What to confirm |
|---|---|
| Delivery country | Canada |
| Province / state | Use the recipient’s province |
| Address unit | Apartment or suite, where applicable |
| Postal field | Six-character Canadian postal code, in ANA NAN form |
| Drawing unit | One master unit, repeated on every dimension |
Reference: Canada Post postal-code structure and geographic prefixes. These format checks do not confirm service availability or delivery time for an individual address.
Compare the quantities before choosing a kit
| Option | Arrangement | Width check | Height check | Net trim | 10% allowance |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2 divisions | 2 frames | 66.5 in / 1689.1 mm smallest clear width | 16.5 in / 419.1 mm smallest clear height | 42.333 linear ft / 12.903 m | 47 linear ft / 14.326 m |
| 3 divisions | 3 frames | 41.5 in / 1054.1 mm smallest clear width | 16.5 in / 419.1 mm smallest clear height | 44.5 linear ft / 13.564 m | 49 linear ft / 14.935 m |
| 4 divisions | 4 frames | 29 in / 736.6 mm smallest clear width | 16.5 in / 419.1 mm smallest clear height | 46.667 linear ft / 14.224 m | 52 linear ft / 15.85 m |
Cut schedule and material allowance
| Component | Quantity | Length each / run | Measurement basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lower frame 1 horizontals | 2 | 44 in / 1117.6 mm | Outside long point; 45-degree corners |
| Lower frame 1 verticals | 2 | 19 in / 482.6 mm | Outside long point; 45-degree corners |
| Lower frame 2 horizontals | 2 | 44 in / 1117.6 mm | Outside long point; 45-degree corners |
| Lower frame 2 verticals | 2 | 19 in / 482.6 mm | Outside long point; 45-degree corners |
| Lower frame 3 horizontals | 2 | 44 in / 1117.6 mm | Outside long point; 45-degree corners |
| Lower frame 3 verticals | 2 | 19 in / 482.6 mm | Outside long point; 45-degree corners |
| Chair rail planning run | 1 | 156 in / 3962.4 mm | Confirm joints and supplied lengths |
The listed components total 44.5 linear ft / 13.564 m. A 10% cutting allowance, rounded up to a whole foot, gives 49 linear ft / 14.935 m. This includes only the listed components; baseboards, adhesive, paint and unlisted return pieces are separate. Continuous rails are total runs, not a promise of one supplied piece.

Worked scenario: ordering for more than one wall
| Scope | Combined net trim | Combined 10% allowance | Component count |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 identical example walls | 44.5 linear ft / 13.564 m | 49 linear ft / 14.935 m | 13 listed pieces / runs |
| 2 identical example walls | 89 linear ft / 27.127 m | 98 linear ft / 29.87 m | 26 listed pieces / runs |
| 3 identical example walls | 133.5 linear ft / 40.691 m | 147 linear ft / 44.806 m | 39 listed pieces / runs |
This table adds material quantities only. It does not predict parcel count, carton length, freight price or delivery time. A different return wall or second room needs its own dimensions and layout before its quantities can be combined.
Confirm the order in the right sequence
| Stage | Confirm before proceeding |
|---|---|
| Choose the layout | Replace the 156 × 108 inch wall and each reservation with actual measurements. |
| Choose the product | Check material, actual profile face, supplied frame count and installation method. |
| Approve a custom configuration | Review the final drawing and component list; check return eligibility before placing the order. |
| Check the destination | Confirm Canada, the country field, full recipient address and unit details. |
| Review the current terms | Read preparation, transit estimates, shipping coverage and return terms for the selected configuration. |

A general transit estimate is not an address-specific guarantee. The policy and the confirmed order apply; this example does not create a separate regional delivery promise.
Product images and kit choices
These images come from the linked Trim Wall Haus product listings. They show the product style; the pictured configuration is not automatically the cut schedule on this page.

Can I mix a 75 mm board with a plan drawn for three-inch boards?
Only after recalculating. Three inches is 76.2 mm, so each face is 1.2 mm wider than a 75 mm board; repeated faces change the available clear bays.
Is this a completed customer project in Canada?
No. It is a calculated example with explicitly assumed wall dimensions. The product images link to actual store listings, but they are not evidence of a completed local installation.
How much molding does this 13 ft example need?
The listed components total 44.5 linear ft / 13.564 m; the rounded 10% planning allowance is 49 linear ft / 14.935 m. Confirm the selected product configuration rather than assuming a pictured package includes these exact pieces.
Can this page guarantee a delivery date in Canada?
No. Confirm the full address and review the current shipping policy and order information. Custom preparation, carrier transit and the building’s receiving arrangements are separate checks.
Continue with your wall measurements
Usable openings and trim-face coverage
| Calculated measurement | Result |
|---|---|
| Wall area above assumed baseboard | 111.042 sq ft |
| Estimated area covered by trim faces | 5.859 sq ft |
| Wall area outside trim faces | 105.182 sq ft |
| Trim-face share of wall above baseboard | 5.277% |
| Largest framed/grid rectangular opening | 41.5 in / 1054.1 mm × 16.5 in / 419.1 mm |
| Area of that rectangular opening | 4.755 sq ft |
| Artwork test with a 2-inch visual margin on all sides | 37.5 in / 952.5 mm × 12.5 in / 317.5 mm |
Face coverage is the union of the drawn trim strips, excluding the existing 5.5-inch baseboard. Curved profiles use a centerline-length × face-width estimate. Wall area outside trim still includes areas behind reserved furniture; it is not a visible-paint estimate. The artwork test is a visual comparison, not a mounting clearance. For an arch, the rectangular opening is measured below the spring line.
Cut-stock fit with two assumed lengths
| Profile group | Assumed stock length | Stock pieces in this packing | Unallocated stock / limitation | Interpretation |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Straight frame / board profile | 96 in / 2438.4 mm | 5 | 102 in / 2590.8 mm | Includes kerf and unusable remainder |
| Straight frame / board profile | 120 in / 3048 mm | 4 | 102 in / 2590.8 mm | Includes kerf and unusable remainder |
| Chair rail | 96 in / 2438.4 mm | Not a no-splice fit | 1 listed pieces/runs exceed this length | Review joints or another supplied length |
| Chair rail | 120 in / 3048 mm | Not a no-splice fit | 1 listed pieces/runs exceed this length | Review joints or another supplied length |
This is a first-fit decreasing packing example, not a claim of the minimum purchase quantity. Profile groups are packed separately; do not combine different actual products merely because they have the same nominal width. End trimming, damaged ends, join positions and fabrication details are not modeled. Stock lengths here are test inputs, not a statement of what the linked kits supply.
Destination-specific address and project checks
Ontario: address and project checks
Use ON in the province/state field and select Canada as the country. The example compares the sideboard outline with a lower panel run. Include the province and complete postal code on the order, and keep the drawing dimensions in one unit.
Which first postal-code letters identify Ontario areas?
Canada Post lists K, L, M, N and P for Ontario geographic areas. That first-letter check does not verify an individual address; use the full postal code for the actual recipient.
Quebec: address and project checks
Use QC in the province/state field and select Canada as the country. Check the supplied arch width and radius against the drawing. Use the full delivery address, including the unit and postal code, exactly as required for the intended recipient.
Which first postal-code letters identify Quebec areas?
Canada Post lists G, H and J for Quebec geographic areas. Keep the full recipient address and postal code; do not substitute the province name for the local delivery details.
British Columbia: address and project checks
Use BC in the province/state field and select Canada as the country. The office example reserves the desk and equipment positions before dividing the wall. Send outlet and data-plate positions as well as the finished wall measurements.
What is the difference between BC and a postal-code prefix?
BC is the province abbreviation. Canada Post lists V as the first character for British Columbia postal areas; the complete six-character postal code still identifies the recipient’s delivery area.
Alberta: address and project checks
Use AB in the province/state field and select Canada as the country. The frame example compares a smaller number of broad panels with a tighter repeat. Count every horizontal and vertical piece when checking a supplied kit against the proposed design.
Is AB the postal code for Alberta?
AB is the province abbreviation. Canada Post lists T as the first postal-code character for Alberta; use the recipient’s complete postal code rather than entering AB in the postal-code field.
